When my friends receive a thank-you note,
it is not always for gifts.
Most of the times,
I just like to thank them
for being in my life.
When I wake up
and gaze outside,
still caught in a dream,
I smile at the day and
gratitude comes easy.
Thanks ~ for having a soft bed,
a husband to wake up to,
our dog, house, and
the beautiful piece of land
we call Rocky Acres.
Thanks ~ for words
flowing through me,
for the time to reflect
on the day ahead,
and the sun or rain
depending on current needs.
