Have you ever noticed
how dramatic the sky looks in the fall?
Have you ever followed the low clouds
racing across the wide valley in a storm?
In my country of origin
we call this ‘Bavarian Sky’.
Have you ever been awed
by stunning sunsets?
The beauty replenishes my heart
as I sit still and watch
the mauve, lavender, and gray display above.
And a smile slowly
acknowledges the
feeling of wonder.
