Nothing more pertinent
than this word for the day!

Painting our workshop
between the first rain shower
and hot sunshine
is quite challenging.
Giving a new look
to an old building
after 12 years
is a welcome change.
Body is sore from climbing
up and down the ladder
that needed to be moved
every three panels.
It is slow going
but it is coming along nicely,
natural Redwood stain,
the color takes me back.
There was a Redwood grove
behind our house
in the Santa Cruz mountains
perfect for day dreaming.
Every year, the needles stained
the ground they fell on
-like permaink.
The sun brings out the reddish hue
so cherished, and so missed.
I tried to grow a Redwood
in this unforgiving hot climate
of Southern Oregon
-quite the challenge.
Just like painting is,
one brush stroke at a time
until the project is finished.
Very nice! Looking forward to more posts.
